National Northern Undergraduate Surgical Conference in association with RCS Edinburgh – “The World of Surgery”//

For tickets and abstract submission follow this link:

We have an exciting line up for this year’s conference focusing on the variety a career in surgery can offer. Our keynote speakers include nationally and internationally renowned surgeons; all of whom have taken very different career paths.

Professor John Dark (Cardiothoracic Surgeon)
Colonel Ben Banerjee (Vascular Surgeon and member of the Territorial Amy)
Mr Paul McMaster (Head of MSF UK)

We will be running a series of workshops in the afternoon, including basic suturing, laparoscopy and wound debridement.

For the conference we are accepting abstracts for both oral and poster presentations. This is via the RCSed sign up page and gives you the opportunity to present at a national conference, a key point that you need in your CV. The deadline for submission is Wednesday 25th February.

On top of this we provide a top quality lunch, snacks throughout the day and enough tea/coffee to keep you more caffeinated than an F1 on nights!

All of this for just £10 for Surgical Society members and RCSed affiliates, £15 if you have neither of these memberships.

It’s a great deal and not only that it is a great opportunity to hear from and meet some of the most eminent surgeons in the region and nationally.

We have a capped number of tickets, after they have sold out a waiting list will be started so message us to be added.
